Thomastown IGA makes the move to Worldsmart

Worldsmart has welcomed Thomastown IGA to its growing network of independent retailers.

Owned and operated by David and Antonio, Thomastown IGA is focused on delivering a genuine local shopping experience, with an extensive market-style fruit and vegetable offer, and deli and meat departments serving the surrounding community.

When the store decided it was time to move on from its existing point-of-sale system, the priority was clear: a smooth transition, minimal disruption and a support team they could rely on.

Worldsmart worked closely with David and Antonio to deliver a rapid conversion, with the store moving to its new Worldsmart system within two weeks of signing. The transition was supported by Worldsmart's local implementation and support teams, who worked directly with the store throughout the conversion, installation and go-live process.

For David and Antonio, the experience reinforced the importance of having responsive, knowledgeable support close at hand – particularly when technology plays such a critical role in the day-to-day operation of an independent supermarket.
